Where to stay before a flight from Melbourne Airport's domestic terminals if you prefer a calm, short start

The short answer: Stay at PARKROYAL for Qantas or Virgin Australia. Its covered skybridges reach Terminals 1 and 3, so there is no bus to meet. For Jetstar or Rex at Terminal 4, Novotel is the shortest walk.
