Where to stay with a family before a flight from Melbourne Airport's domestic terminals

The short answer: Stay at Holiday Inn. We have stayed there with young children, and per the hotel its free 24-hour shuttle stops at every domestic terminal, including Terminal 4. For a dawn Qantas or Virgin Australia flight, PARKROYAL's skybridge saves the walk.

Who it suits
Families with young children on any domestic airline, including Jetstar and Rex from Terminal 4.
Why we would choose it
We have stayed here with our own young family. Per the hotel, a free 24-hour shuttle stops at the domestic terminals, and the walk is about five minutes through the car park.
The compromise
There is no pool, the rooms are described as slightly dated, and sources disagree on whether the shuttle is free.
Worth paying more?
Over Mantra, yes for most families. You are closer to the terminals, and the shuttle runs at any hour.
