Where to rest on a long layover at Heathrow Terminal 4

The short answer: Every hotel here is a covered walk from Terminal 4, so the layover goes on rest, not travel. Take the budget hotel unless you want a gym or a meal.

Who it suits
Most layovers at Terminal 4 of five hours or more.
Why we would choose it
A covered walk from the terminal at what is usually the lowest rate of the hotels joined to it, for a bed and a shower when you need them.
The compromise
A budget hotel, and the walk is a few minutes longer than from the Holiday Inn Express.
Worth paying more?
Usually not. For a few hours of rest, paying more buys little you will use.

A budget hotel with a limited food offer, often a little dearer than our pick.

The same covered walk from the terminal, with more space and a proper meal on site for a long wait.
The compromise
You pay noticeably more for the same walk.
Worth paying more?
Only if your layover is long enough to use what you are paying for.
