AED 0Free airside shuttle
Typical total
AED 349–AED 535
Who it suits
Connections of about six to ten hours when you cannot or would rather not clear immigration.
Why we would choose it
You stay airside in Terminal 3 Concourse C: no immigration, no visa question and no transfer. Blocks of 6, 8 or 10 hours, one adult per pod. From Terminal 2 you use the airside transfer and shuttle, about 45 minutes each way.
The compromise
A pod, not a hotel room, for one adult. A couple needs two, so the price doubles. Fixed time blocks, not the hour.
Worth paying more?
For a gap of eight hours or less, yes. For a longer one, a landside hotel costs less if you may enter Dubai.

Who it suits
Connections of ten hours or more, if you may enter the UAE.
Why we would choose it
A full five-star with a taxi from Terminal 2, a rooftop pool and a real bed. Cheaper than the airside pods in summer.
The compromise
You must clear immigration and collect your bags if they are not checked through. The travel eats two to three hours of the gap.
Worth paying more?
Yes for ten hours or more. Under eight, stay airside.

Typical total
AED 196–AED 509
Who it suits
Long connections on a budget, if you may enter the UAE.
Why we would choose it
There is no shuttle to Terminal 2, so you take a metered taxi, about AUD 12 one way. The lowest room price on the list in summer, for a gap long enough to use the time.
The compromise
A taxi each way and the immigration time on top.
Worth paying more?
Usually not for a short gap.
