Getting to your terminal

A stay only makes sense for some terminals. Here is what the journey takes from the hotel to check-in at each one.

Our view

Who it suits: Early flights, late arrivals, tight connections and anyone who wants the road out of the plan.
Why we would choose it: It is inside the airport compound, a covered 5 to 10 minute walk from either terminal, so the Kuta and Seminyak traffic never comes into it.
The compromise: It is a business-style airport hotel, not a beach stay, and the walk is dim and quiet late at night.
Worth paying more?: For an early flight or a tight connection, yes; for a long beach stay, a beachfront Tuban hotel is better.

What you get

The practical details that matter for one night before or after a flight.

Rooms: 206 rooms and suites (Superior, Executive and Suite). A Superior Room with a king bed is 28 square metres. Rooms are described as soundproofed against the runway.
Walk: About two to five minutes from the International Terminal and five to ten from Domestic, on a level, covered walkway, landside. Follow the Airport Hotel signs; the hotel Q&A says turn left.
Day rooms: Transit day rooms booked direct with the hotel, roughly IDR 500,000 to 600,000 for 3 hours and 800,000 to 900,000 for 6 hours (about AUD 50 to 60 and 80 to 90). A Pool and Shower package is roughly IDR 300,000 to 500,000 a person, with a food and drink credit. Rates move with occupancy, and stock is limited in high season.
Reception: 24-hour front desk. If you need a guaranteed room at 1am, book the night before your arrival date.
Accessible and family rooms: A limited number of accessible rooms with step-free access. Family rooms and suites sleep up to four.
Breakfast: The full buffet starts at 6am on weekdays. For departures before then, the hotel can provide a lighter early spread or a packed breakfast box on request. GourmetBar serves food 24 hours.
Pool: Outdoor pool open 8am to 8pm, with a children's pool.
Check-in: Check-in from 2pm; check-out by 12 noon. Early check-in and late check-out cost extra, often about a half-day rate. Free luggage storage.
