Our view

Who it suits: Budget-minded travellers and families who want a short, free transfer.
Why we would choose it: A free 24-hour airport transfer is listed, and it is only about five minutes away.
The compromise: Smaller and simpler than the chain hotels, and the transfer is not yet confirmed.
Worth paying more?: Only if you want more space or a brand name. For a bed near the airport, this is the value pick.

The practical details that matter for one night before or after a flight.

Rooms: About 147 rooms, including 80 standard, 6 suites and 60 Harris Unique rooms.
Transfer: Free airport shuttle both ways, 24/7 with a departure every hour. Book ahead with the hotel, at least a day before. Transfer and parking are included in all rates, per the hotel.
Family rooms: HARRIS Suites with a sofa bed sleep up to four. The FUNTASIC Family Package is two adjoining rooms, usually one queen and one twin, for a family of four.
Breakfast: About IDR 120,000 a person (about AUD 12), 7 to 10am on weekdays and until 11am at weekends. Children 12 and over pay the adult price.
Day use: Roughly IDR 400,000 to 500,000 (about AUD 40 to 50), by asking the hotel.
Reception: 24-hour reception.
Distance: About five minutes by car; sources give 0.9 to 1.7 km.
