Which terminal at Perth Airport?

The short answer: T1 and T2 are one precinct and T3 and T4 another, about 15 minutes apart by road. T1 is international and domestic. T2 is domestic and regional. T3 and T4 are Qantas, with Airnorth at T3. A number of airlines use more than one terminal, so check your ticket.

Last checked · How we check

Perth Airport has two precincts. Terminals 1 and 2 are on Airport Drive. Terminals 3 and 4 are on Brearley Avenue, with General Aviation on Valentine Road. The precincts are separated by a drive of 10 to 15 minutes, and there is no airside connection. Where you stay depends on which side your flight leaves from.

The short version

  • Flying Qantas: it can be T1, T3 or T4. Perth Airport lists T1 and T3 as its two international terminals, so a Qantas international flight can leave from either. Your booking confirmation says which.
  • Flying Jetstar or Virgin Australia: T1 or T2.
  • Flying Rex, Alliance, Nexus or Aerlink: T2.
  • Flying Airnorth: T3.
  • Flying an international airline: T1, including Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand and Scoot.
  • Regional charter or fly-in fly-out: often General Aviation, on Valentine Road. QantasLink, National Jet Express and Skippers leave from there. Confirm the pick-up point with your hotel.

Terminal by terminal

Terminal 1 is the international terminal and also has domestic flights. Perth Airport lists about 26 airlines, from Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia to Emirates, Qatar and Singapore Airlines. Only Qantas services for Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands leave from here among the island routes.

Terminal 2 is domestic and regional. Jetstar, Virgin Australia, Rex, Alliance Airlines, Nexus and Aerlink use it. It sits beside Terminal 1, and Airport Central station has a skybridge to both.

Terminal 3 is Qantas and Airnorth, and Perth Airport counts it as an international terminal as well as a domestic one. Terminal 4 is Qantas only. They are in the same precinct, on Brearley Avenue.

General Aviation handles Maroomba Airlines, MinRes Air, National Jet Express, QantasLink and Skippers Aviation.

Why it matters for your hotel

Every hotel near Perth Airport is a shuttle or a taxi away, and not every shuttle serves every terminal. Vetroblu says its shuttle covers Terminals 1 to 4, Skippers and Cobham. Sanno's page names only the T1 and T2 pick-up point. When you book, give the hotel your terminal number, not just "domestic" or "international".

The train is the same story. Airport Central station serves T1 and T2 by skybridge. Redcliffe station is not connected to T3 and T4, and you take bus 292.

Choosing a stay

Use the terminal pages: Terminals 1 and 2 and Terminals 3 and 4. If you are connecting between precincts, read getting between the terminals.
