Perth Airport's two precincts are not connected airside. If you land at T1 and fly on from T3 or T4, you leave the terminal, move across, and go through check-in and security again.
The free terminal bus
Perth Airport runs a complimentary, accessible terminal transfer bus between T1/T2 and T3/T4. It runs every 20 minutes between 6am and 10pm and every 30 minutes between 10pm and 6am. The airport's timetable has departures through the night, including 1am and 2am, so it appears to run all day and night.
From T3/T4 the daytime departures are at 6:00, 6:20 and 6:40 and so on, on the hour, 20 and 40 past. From T1/T2 they leave at the same minutes. Overnight, T3/T4 departs on the hour and half hour and T1/T2 at a quarter past and a quarter to.
The drive takes 10 to 15 minutes. Allow another 15 to 30 minutes for the wait and the walk to the stop at each end.
Taxi and rideshare
Taxi and rideshare services are available on each terminal forecourt. This is quicker if the bus has just left, and it costs money. We have not confirmed the fare.
What not to rely on
- The train. Airport Central serves T1 and T2 only. Redcliffe station is not connected to T3 and T4, and Bus 292, the circular route, links it to those terminals.
- Walking. The precincts are on opposite sides of the airfield.
If you are staying overnight between precincts
Most hotels near the airport are in Redcliffe and Belmont, and a hotel shuttle will often serve both precincts. Check with the hotel. Our short lists for Terminals 1 and 2 and Terminals 3 and 4 show which shuttle serves what, and the overnight connection list covers a night between flights.
