Getting between terminals at DFW Airport

The short answer: Use Skylink if you are through security. Use Terminal Link, a free shuttle bus, if you are not, or if you are carrying bags to a hotel. DFW says a Terminal Link ride takes 10 to 20 minutes and runs every 8 to 10 minutes after 5am.

Last checked · How we check

Two free systems link the terminals. Which one you use depends on where you are standing.

Skylink: inside security

Skylink is an automated train between the terminals, inside security. You can only ride it once you have been screened. It is the quick route for a connection.

Terminal Link: outside security

Terminal Link is a free shuttle bus on the public side. DFW says it runs every 8 to 10 minutes after 5am, and before 5am you call 972-574-5465. A ride takes 10 to 20 minutes. DFW lists the stops on the upper level at every terminal except D. If you are heading to the Grand Hyatt, ask the hotel where the bus drops you.

Hotel shuttles

Hotels run their own free shuttles with their own pick-up points and hours. DFW says tolls on airport roads are covered when a hotel shuttle picks you up. See our guide to hotel shuttles.

Terminal F

Terminal F is planned with its own check-in and security, a link to Skylink and a walk to Terminal D. It starts opening in 2027.
