There are four sensible ways to leave a car at Sydney Airport: the airport's own car parks, the airport's valet, an off-airport operator, or a hotel that includes parking with your room. Which wins depends on how long you are away and whether you need a bed the night before.
Prices and package terms below come from hotel pages, press and booking listings. They change, and some sources disagree, so confirm with the hotel or car park before you book.
The four ways
| Best for | What to know | |
|---|---|---|
| Airport car parks | Trips of a few days or more | Pre-book online. The airport says this saves up to 70% on walk-up rates |
| Airport valet | Skipping the walk and the search for a space | P7 valet, close to the International terminal |
| Off-airport operator | Longer trips, lower daily rates | You ride a shuttle to the terminal, so allow for the transfer |
| Hotel with parking | A night before an early flight | The car stays at the hotel, and some hotels include nights of parking |
Airport car parks
The airport sells parking at each terminal. For the International terminal, P7 is the closest car park, a short walk from Terminal 1, with a 2.2 m height limit. P9 is the open-air alternative with 3.5 m clearance, so choose it for a tall vehicle. Book on the airport's own site, because walk-up rates cost far more.
We priced P7 online in October 2026:
| Trip length | P7 online price |
|---|---|
| 1 day | $72.13 |
| 2 days | $110.06 |
| 3 days | $144.70 |
| 1 week | $204.20 |
| 2 weeks | $257.10 |
P7 gets much cheaper in the second week, at about $7.56 a day for days 8 to 14. Prices change with your dates and how early you book, so treat these as a guide and get your own quote.
Valet
Sydney Airport runs a valet service from P7. A hotel valet is the other kind: you hand over the keys at the hotel and the staff park the car. The one hotel we found that lists valet as part of a package is Moxy Sydney Airport (see below).
Hotels that include parking
Several hotels sit close to the airport and sell a room with parking. This is the simplest option when you need the night before anyway.
- Moxy Sydney Airport: the standout. Press reports a Stay, Fly and Park package with up to 14 nights of free valet parking, return shuttle transfers and breakfast, from $222 a room, with extra nights $10. Reported for stays up to 13 May 2027. Covered car park, and vehicle limits of 2.3 m wide, 5.3 m long and 2.2 m high.
- Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport: a Park & Fly package with up to 7 nights of self-parking, a shuttle for two and breakfast. Direct booking only, and the page gives no price.
- Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport: underground parking with a 2.1 m limit, listed at $35 to $40 a night.
- Novotel Sydney International: limited parking, listed at $25 to $30 a night.
- Mantra on Sydney Airport: self-parking listed at $35 a night.
- Pullman Sydney Airport: covered self-parking, limited, listed at about $40 a day.
- ibis Sydney Airport: covered self-parking listed at $35 to $38 a night, with a height limit.
- Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel: guests are reported to use the airport's P7, directly behind the hotel. Ask about a rate.
- Aerotel Sydney: inside the International terminal with no on-site parking.
How to choose
- One night before a flight, back in a few days: a hotel package. Moxy's valet package or Stamford Plaza's Park & Fly cover this, if the terms hold when you book.
- A week or more: price an airport pre-booking and an off-airport operator before you look at a hotel package.
- A tall or modified vehicle: check the height limit first. P7 is 2.2 m, Crowne Plaza 2.1 m, and Moxy asks about large 4WDs with bull bars.
- Arriving late and leaving early: park at the hotel, and check the shuttle hours. A late shuttle matters more than the parking price.
Questions to ask before you book
- How many nights of parking are included, and what does an extra night cost?
- Is it self-park or valet?
- Is there a height or width limit?
- Is the shuttle free, and do you need to book a time?
- Must the package be booked direct with the hotel?
