A stay only makes sense for some terminals. Here is what the journey takes from the hotel to check-in at each one.

Our view

Who it suits: Budget travellers with a car, or anyone who puts price before the transfer.
Why we would choose it: Usually the lowest room rate, with family rooms and parking at about A$40 a day.
The compromise: A shuttle is reported but not confirmed; our total uses a taxi at about A$33, and the rooms are small.
Worth paying more?: Only if the saving is bigger than the taxi fare.

The practical details that matter for one night before or after a flight.

Rooms: 13 to 15 square metre rooms; a family room with a queen bed and bunk beds sleeps four.
Parking: About A$40 a day on-site; confirm long-stay parking with the hotel.
Reported shuttle: Some booking engines list an airport drop-off shuttle on request, 04:30–08:30, for A$9. It is not confirmed by the hotel; our totals use a taxi.
Location: 18 Navigator Place, Hendra, about 10 to 15 minutes by road.
Reception: Staffed desk 7am to 10pm. After-hours check-in uses an outdoor self-service kiosk; the hotel allows 24-hour check-in.
Family rooms: The family room has a queen bed and bunk beds and sleeps four.
Children: Children 3 to 11 stay free using the existing bunks. Cots are subject to availability; rollaways are not available.
Breakfast: Continental breakfast from 7am, about A$28.
