Getting to your terminal

A stay only makes sense for some terminals. Here is what the journey takes from the hotel to check-in at each one.

Who it suits: Families who want a cabin with a kitchen and space to spread out for a night or more.
Why we would choose it: Two and three bedroom cabins sleeping four to six, with a kitchen, a laundry, free BBQs and a games room.
The compromise: It is a park, not a hotel. The shuttle runs 24 hours but you must book it through reception at least 24 hours ahead, and it costs A$30 per room each way unless you booked direct.
Worth paying more?: Over an airport hotel for a family stay of two nights or more. For an early flight, only if you book the shuttle 24 hours ahead.

The practical details that matter for one night before or after a flight.

Cabins: Standard 2 Bedroom Cabin sleeps four, with a kitchen, fridge, microwave, ensuite and air conditioning. Three bedroom cabins sleep six. Apartments, villas and powered sites also available.
Shared facilities: Undercover outdoor area with free BBQs, a laundry with large washers and dryers, and a games room with pool and table tennis.
Shuttle: 24 hours a day, 10 to 15 minutes each way. Book through reception at least 24 hours ahead. Free if you book direct with the park, or A$30 per room each way if you book through some third-party booking sites.
Parking: Free parking, per Booking.com. Confirm.
Rules: Quiet hours 22:00 to 07:00. One aggregator says pets are not allowed and bookings for parties or group events are refused. Confirm.
