A layover at London Gatwick

The short answer: None of the seven hotels on Gatwick's hotel page is described as airside. For a layover of about six hours or more, a hotel beside your terminal is realistic. For a shorter one, YOTELAIR sells from four hours. Check that you can enter the UK before you leave the terminal.

Last checked · How we check

Gatwick is a big point-to-point airport, and we found no airside hotel on its hotel page. Plan on leaving the secure area.

Before you leave the terminal

  • Check whether your bags are checked through. Separate tickets usually mean you collect them.
  • Check that your passport lets you enter the UK.
  • Work out when check-in opens for your next flight.

What we have not checked

Lounge and shower facilities, left-luggage, and whether any hotel sells part-day rates other than YOTELAIR.
