Bedtime to take-off
Both bars end at take-off, so the gap on the left is the sleep you'd gain.

If you decide to stay
Hotel recommendations for your terminal are on their way. For now, the Sydney Airport guide lists where to stay.
Where to stay near Sydney AirportDrive-time bands are draft estimates from a map of Sydney Airport, not live traffic. Fares and room budgets are not live quotes. The decision stays with you: the sums only show what the trade costs.
How we work it out
- We start at the flight. Domestic flights allow 90 minutes at the terminal and international flights 3 hours. Then we subtract the journey and the time you need to get ready to find your alarm.
- Drive time comes from map bands around Sydney Airport at 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 minutes, matched to your suburb. We round up, so the estimate leans long. Outside the map, enter your own.
- Transport is one rounded figure for a car, taxi or rideshare, worked from the drive time. No parking, trains or buses are counted.
- Sleep is the time from your bedtime to your alarm. A later bedtime at the hotel reduces what it gains you.
Everything here is a draft estimate to help you decide, not a quote. We're independent and not part of the airport.
